Hi, my name is Sally
My background is in nursing, within the NHS, but I have had a long-standing interest in therapies that can support the body and aid healing, particularly massage and reflexology.
I qualified as a masseur in 2012 initially just working on or exchanging with friends and family, whilst continuing my nursing career. I became a self-employed masseur in 2016, still concurrent with the nursing, and have sought to constantly improve my skills since then, combining different techniques. Massage is one of the oldest and generally safest forms of therapy and allows for warmth, relaxation and touch to come together. Good quality oils play an important part here and I use the professional physiotherapy oils sold by Physique.
Massage involves listening to what people have to say, both with words and without. To this end, I prefer silence to music in the massage room, unless actually requested by the client.
Physical fitness* and good nutrition are obviously important too and I try to practise what I preach.
*I train at Perform for Sport which is now based at Tuddenham Hall Farm. Tailored advice on both strength and resistance work, and cardio is available.
